According to a pro-NDF source (Assadists), they're now confirming what I've suspected: !S terror elements are now taking the upperhand and surrounding al-Sukhna. Note that local shepherds are the ones who're containing them, NOT the Assadists like some of you have thought.


So, what's the endgame for them? After (NDF/SAA) interrogated some captured fighters from the terror group, they've told them that the new leadership (emir Hashimi al-Hawm) over Central Syria wants to hold onto territory by al-Sukhna, cutting off Palmyra and taking it eventually. In other terms, a comeback that no other Westerner will ever see over media.

Their strategy is doable if the SAA keeps continuing their incompetence over the Badiyah. Of course, SAA is also affected due to the lack of presence from Wagner, which allowed the terror group to expand their control over the central parts of the country.

So, yes: !S!S are capable of doing it, judging from the several weaknesses of pro-government militias: Palmyra has less than 400 fighters within their garrison after the withdrawal of Russian forces (they're still operating through the T4 airbase).

As of now, !S!S are still holding bordering parts of the Doubiyat gas field (by east al-Sukhna, North of Arak). The shepherds are now the only ones who're doing the job for recapturing that area, with the help of Russian and Syrian warplanes.

@Osman279 Al-Sukhna is at risk if the new intel is true. They're scaling up attacks for an unprecedented comeback, while taking advantage of the current Arab tribal rebellion against the PKK (many pro-terror fighters are fighting along tribal clans!!!).

We'll see how Assad the incompetent manages this situation.

And as we suspected, Badiyah attacks were too fierce, especially after ambushing the NDF, IRGC and Liwa al-Quds reinforcements coming from Deir Ezzor. Casualties were on the rise 72 hours ago.

Because some locals help them, unironically. Not all of them. In Deir Ezzor (the province where they get more local support from), they're given food, etc. The few liquor stores left were vandalized or closed by the terrorists (Hisbah).

Of course, they resupply their cells with food brought from cities. In Nigeria, for example, they use normal trucks for bringing out food towards Lake Chad region (and Sambisa forest, another large region captured by them after ousting the remnants of Shekau's Boko).

They're switching strategies over the field, as seen with the reduction of attacks in Dara'a (Southern Syria) throughout this autumn, while relocating armed cells towarda the Badiyah and the flanks through Sukhna, Tadmor and the Raqqa desert.

It's hard to admit the truth, but I'll say it: the Syrian's Ministry of Defense and all the new high-ranking appointees are nothing but incompetent bastards.

The biggest one so far happened last year in the prison of al-Sina'a, located in the Gheweran neighbourhood of Hasakah (Syria).

The prison break lasted for almost 3 weeks, leaving 200+ SDF fighters dead while !S criminals temporarily managed to liberate thousands of prisoners. Of course, the International Coalition intervened by bombing the hell out of the prison (where some of the last pockets holed up). Even the French and the British intervened along the US forces (by bringing in vehicles, etc).

But another prison break also took place a few months later in Nigeria, more specifically in a high-security prison located next to the capital of the country, Abuja. Many hundreds of prisoners managed to escape along with the fighters (there are video recordings available somewhere in the internet, I had one).
