Preferably 16x9 proportion and big images, but anything goes.

I plan to start publishing songs more frequently again, feeling inspired again now.

I know I can look for them myself, I have always done it, but having a backlog here would help lazy me. Also the image you chose can be featured in one my videos, which might be cool.

I don't watch anime, so I have no such media. :smonk:

I actually had a backlog myself, but I had to format my PC a couple of weeks ago and lost everything.

Mogrsbn

Also give tips of good sites and boorus to look for them as well please.

Idk if I can, with the current rules

In the end, I'm at mercy of the jannies. Rules are only guidelines
Sounds like the Brazilian judicial system. Back in the day people would post even 2D loli porn and no one would care as long as the NSFW tag was used.

I can post some stuff from my hard drive, but it's mostly gonna be 1:1 format meme shit

I mean, you can post anything you want as far as I'm concerned, but it won't be helpful for the videos. The images must be big and have a proportion at least close to 16x9.

anything by guweiz or wlop also
Good taste. I considered adding Guweiz's art but figured he was too recognizable. As for wlop, I respect the man's talent, but honestly, his stuff isn't really for me. The fantasy and sci fi scenery is great, but I'm not particularly fond of how he draws faces tbh

Like, he draws the same nondescript ulzzang girl in these super elegant and excessively refined dresses against otherwise decent fantasy backdrops, but rather than being grand and epic like they're trying so hard to come off as, they just feel kind of gaudy if you ask me. Reminiscent of something straight out of Bollywood. Maybe it's because I much prefer streetwear to that kind of clothing, idk. Having said that, I think Guweiz's more grounded, gritty and subdued approach to realism looks so much better in general.

Wow thank you so much boyo, those actually look great. It's a shame not all have the right proportion, but maybe I could crop some of them as well since they're large. I just finished recording my new song btw, I'll choose the image and edit the video now to put the lyrics.

I used my new mic so it sounds a lot better than most of my songs, but I didn't dare trying to edit the audio without my producer's help, it's all natural so excuse my vocals, it probably has some mistakes. I'll try to slowly learn how to put effects and stuff.

Also cool avi, best anime in a long, long while. I even finished the manga already (what is already published of it, that is).

Np buddy boyo. Looking at the art you usually use for your vids, I tried to pick out ones that lean towards a moody/gloomy type of vibe. And yeah, it's pretty difficult to find images that fit a specific aspect ratio, so I kinda chose long horizontal images and hoped that they were 16:9 ngl

Based bocchi enjoyer! Yes, it's such a delightful show. It's visual gags and humor are on-point, but it's excruciatingly relatable. Not in a way that feels pandering, though, which is very hard to pull off. Props for actually seeking out and reading the 4-koma manga. You're a bigger fan than me...

I see. Learning how to produce and mix and master your own music helps massively. It's a skill not many artists can do, so you're already ahead of the curb if you know how

Also, glad you didn't rope man. I'm eager to hear another hood classic from our resident songwritercel, and ofc to see which artwork you choose. I have notifications on btw :feelscomfy:

wlop makes more intricate compositions whereas guweiz focuses more on character art. i like how wlop does lighting, guweiz shading is more subdued in comparison.

I imagined you considered the type of image I'd normally use. I ended up using one of the ones you posted indeed.

Bocchi actually inspired me to start learning. If a 15 yo girl can do it, even if she's a character (I don't doubt many can IRL as well; well, even some children can play guitar way better than me anyways) I should as well, kek.

Tbh I never had much patience for it, I only like the learning about music/playing/songwriting part, but having to depend on other people suck. My producer is a bro but he's not always available and he has very strong opinions, for instance he wouldn't record an acoustic version of a certain song I wrote because he claimed it had to be electric (electric is way more work, since you have to record various instruments, create the drum track and mix everything together, instead of just voice and guitar. And he also demands that all the strings are new, last time I had to help him buy the bass strings, which are expensive since he only wants the top brand).

I was gonna publish it yesterday but since I formatted my laptop, the windows video editor is screwing up my audio when I render the video out of it. So I had to edit the video there but mix with the audio track online, it was tough to find something that didn't stamp a watermark there. Somehow the end result only has 9 MB but sounds perfectly, unlike the 40 MB one that spawned from the windows editor with audio.

Ye, I kept in mind that you typically use kind of moody/gloomy images
Very epic. Nice song as well. While the vocal mixing is a bit rough around the edges, the guitar melody is good and your songwriting is poignant as ever. It's sparse in structure, but encapsulates the feeling the image conveys well. I dig it

Mogs me at being inspired by the entertainment you engage with to work towards your goals and actually do something in life tbh. It sucks that you basically have to rely on the help of others if you really want to go anywhere with these kinds of hobbies, especially for people like us. Believe it or not, I've also been doing some songwriting as I seriously plan to musicmaxx, but the biggest hurdle for me is the fact that you NEED to network and seek out connections if you want to make it. Doing everything yourself takes a lot of time and learning so I figured it would be better to go to a studio to actualize my ideas, but it's scary. I mean, I'm a socially awkward NEET who hasn't had a conversation with a single soul since middle school. It's over

Wtf, is your producecr even allowed to do that? I don't get why he would want your song to be a certain way if that's not how you want it to be done. I guess I can understand him demanding you use new strings so the music sounds quality, but it's still kinda weird ngl. I would be doubtful about working with him

Very epic. Nice song as well
Thanks.

While the vocal mixing is a bit rough around the edges
I didn't mix anything, just recorded it and rendered kek. I calculated the distance from the mic to do the backing vocals.

At least I used my new mic and a proper recording software, one step at a time.

It's sparse in structure
I think it was my first heavy use of odd time signatures. Some 4/4 become 2/4 in the verses, and there's a 3/4 in the bridge.

Yeah, to make it big in music nowadays you need to have tons of things going for you, not only connections but also looks, since the looks threshold really got up in the last years in the industry. Unless you go for something really niche, but then, you won't make it that big anyways.

If you have the money to pay the studio/producer, just face it as a work relationship and tell him what you want. It's easier to interact like that compared to a spontaneous relationship.

I mean, I can't really say much there because he does everything for free. He's a long time friend.

Am I low IQ if I don't know what half of this means :feelssus:

No tbh, a lot of terms that are only really used specifically in that kind of activity. Are you a native speaker?

Also, the 9 MB version was too good to be true, I noticed afterwards how low the volume was.

Np boyo. Just honest words of encouragement and criticism

Oh jfl. That answers my questions. So the vocals in the background weren't just pitched down lol

I realize I'm a lot less knowledgable about this than I thought because idek what this means ngl

Very true. Though, I don't think I'm unattractuve enough to where my looks will massively affect how I'm percieved as an artist. Like, there are dudes who look worse than me who musicmaxxed and are blowing up right now. Maybe I'm coping, but that gives me a little bit of hope that I could make something of myself too

I'm conflicted about this tbh because on one hand, I want to become more extroverted and NT and form meaningful relationships with the people I'll work with. But on the other hand, the NEET in me says it wold be easier and less draining to just approach it like you said. The biggest issue is that I'm too socially anxious to seek out a producer or go to a studio in the first place...

Ah, I see. Can't really be helped then

I am lol could you not tell? I'm not well versed in anything about music theory or composition at all, that's the thing

It's how many beats go on each piece of the song (I realized I don't even know how it's called either).

I wish you all the luck boyo, how old are you?

Sorry, English is so widespread nowadays that lots of people who speak it as a second language are pretty indiscernible from native speakers as far as writing goes at least. English is kinda easy as well, there's that.

I see. Idk why but I'm bad at picking out the tempo of songs (I think that's what it's called). I don't analyze what I hear that closely ngl. Then again, I was always shit at math so it's not surprising at all

Thanks brocel. I turned 20 a few months ago. It sucks because I was really hoping to start musicmaxxing right after I got out of high school, but I keep pushing the date back further and further
