The sad Mario actually seems effective, but maybe having a large-ish Peach that can be clearly seen would also help, since it would probably make the anti-foid title seem more immediate if there was a foid that normies could see

It feels like normies might get even more enraged if you enlarged the word 'women' to be bigger than the rest of the title, made it a different colour like red (bull-red cape theory), and sort of had it occupy the top-right corner of the image or something with 'ruined' under it. But this could work too

Also might be worth exploiting the algorithm a bit by looking for shit that's trending or current about the game or Mario. I remember looking for videos of the Hamas rave invasion thing, and a 'fap tribute' to that German foid in a truck had shot up to 30k+ views in a day or two. Coomers are truly degen, but lmao at someone uploading that right after the Hamas thing. If people see a clickbait/coomer video while searching for stuff, or get it recommended, they'll probably watch it

And make the black censorship thingy look more like an authentic censor than an editing / photoshop error. Maybe try blurring it out instead.

The black dude or w/e that is behind Mario looks a bit weird here.
The rest looks fairly decent, though, it stands out a bit more.

First one could be good, maybe turn 'women' red to emphasize it (ragebait), and maybe remove the four question-marks on the left since they seem a bit extraneous
The images look more clear and would probably stand out enough for people to notice it
I think the images were arranged slightly better in the original one, though, Peachelephant was slightly more to the left and was visible in the thumbnail, and the BBC guy there was slightly clearer than what's behind Mario in the top image
Honestly first or second both are pretty good.
I’m no graphic designer and the thumbnail itself looks very good but again, it lacks a certain sense of authenticity and it’s because of the texts feeling too formal and not loud, gradient and spontaneous enough.
A lot of it just comes down to taste so just go with whatever but if I remember correctly, since your goal is to ignite controversy through clickbaity titles, then you should also market-test it in a way that’s consistent with the demographic. It doesn’t have to look exactly like this but ideally, this is the type of shit you should aim for:
And I did this in less than 5 minutes using the font IMPACT and a completely free program on my shitty phone so imagine what you could achieve on a good computer.
You can also just stablediffusionmaxx otherwise if you want to be lazy with it but the more you spend on compulsively playing around with the settings and handcraft yourself a thumbnail that you don’t end up hating the more is gonna give you in return.
And btw, @SoycuckGodOfReddit, when you tag in someone while editing your post it doesn’t notify them. I just came back to this thread out of curiosity.
I think the issue with phrasing it in overall terms like 'Have women ruined gaming' is that it's not as concrete and can seem more like a generic talking-point, whereas 'Have women ruined Super Mario Bros.?' seems more direct and concrete in its misogyny
It's why ads are generally targeted towards conveying specific scenes or images, rather than overall statements
Plus hiding the controversial text behind the game name could make it less effective as clickbait, though that's probably because mobile as you said
If you had to opt for an altenative question of that sort, maybe 'Have women ruined Mario???' would be better. More specific, weighty bc it deals with a long-running, beloved franchise, and enough hyperbole to draw viewers in
Other than that, I agree, and the idea of using Stable Diffusion and AI art is actually a decent one. If you're making offensive content, you can use the AI to make counter-intuitive or controversial images/scenes to piss viewers off, and add those somewhere in the thumbnail. Plus if they feel the need to show up and correct stuff ('that never happened, etc.') then they're more likely to click

Good point. I hesitated on doing that but wanted to illustrate to OP some of the common ideas to make it look safely stylish while not overdoing it and being able to achieve that innocent simplicity on top of it. You really gotta study the field hard if you want to make it on YouTube.

Yeah, that would make more sense. Or 'have women ruined Mario?' since the 'women ruined gaming' thing is a bit of an overused phrase and that might blunt its impact or seem low-effort unless the thumbnail was really polished
Only concern is that viewers will often notice and be struck by the thumbnail first ('shiny colours whee'), before reading the title fully, so you'd want the brunt of the impact to be from that

I think that’s precisely why it’s a solid implementation if executed properly. Synthetic Man does it all the time and @Stupid Clown since you’re already familiar with his content, you should strive for something along these lines.

Definitely a step-up from your previous titles and choice of fonts which looked semi-cartoonish and child-like. See just how much better it is when you focus on simplicity? The less is in a lot of ways more.
One last thing though and again, the more obsessive you are with them, the better they’ll get and my OCD’s telling me that the ‘have’ is not directly aligned above ‘women’ symmetrically. Obviously, not a big deal but it’s these small things that matter.
One final touch: give it a vignette and mess around with the color settings for you liking.
