NSFW Reddit Mod Chimpout 2: reddit mods allow onlyfans whores to post porn on main subreddits

Short recap for those who don't know the full story

Reddit CEO announced that they will start charging money to use their API

I will try to explain as simple as possible, but probably fail

In non technical words, API is a mechanism that website uses to respond to bot requests. Not all bots are bad, only meant for DDoS-ing, some can also be used for good purposes like embedding (mostly tweets, youtube videos, instagram, facebook and reddit posts) into other websites, API to support 3rd party clients, which in this specific case, was very useful to reddit mods. With the API reddit mods could instaban anyone that made them cry a little, for example the bot could run in the background analyse every reddit account that subscribes to their subreddit and comments and instaban anyone triggers certain requirements, like saying nigger, having less than 109 karma, post history in subreddits they don't like and so on.

After the announcement reddit mods decided to assemble jedi chungus avenger team and do their special attack: private all the subreddits they moderate until reddit CEO reverses the API shutdow decision

About 41% of all subreddits went dark...

just after 3 days they made their subreddits public again, after not being able to live life without banning randoms on reddit

At this point the story should end–reddit mods prove to be cowards once again, useless for anything else than banning the lower caste of non-mods

Unfortunately no

Reddit CEO, didn't take this riot lightly and came up with an idea to ban those mods, that shut down their subreddits for 2 days

At the point where there was no turning back, reddit mods did the unthinkable–hit reverse

Instead of restricting their moderated subreddits even more, they would let instead let a few more things slide by..

The idea is that, since, reddit doesn't place ads in NSFW subreddits..

If reddit mods let redditors post porn in normal subreddits, then most subreddits would become un-advertiser-friendly=no money for CEO=it would force him to obey the supreme will of reddit mods

I'm honestly surprised by both redditor and reddit mod ability to make the site even more wretched, but here we are

It's like the website runs on some sort of logical fabric, that only exists in Garfield, Home Alone and Adam Sandler movies
