A world in which doctors, artists, inventors, engineers etc are paid less in terms of money & status than actors/musicians/athletes..
proving that looks>skill. You think its a coincidence (no such thing) that the actors for the roles of aragorn, legolas, frodo, arwen, elrond, eomer etc are all chads/stacies? They didnt get their roles for their acting skills. They and every other actor/actress were chosen based only on their looks. Then weeded down from maybe 10->1 (10 good looking MODELS basically). The best actor of the 10 best looking ones.
Acting is modelling foremost and acting second. Always was.
Elijah wood is very small, but in terms of face, he´s like a 9/10 for women. Even if he was a 5x better actor but only maybe a 7/10, he wouldnt have gotten the role as frodo. Looks=EVERYTHIIIIIIIING. Its the base. Skill and practice comes after you´ve been chosen. This goes for many normal wage jobs as well.
And merry & pippin (dominic & billy). Its OBVIOUS that they were chosen on the prerequisite of being average looking, as theyre supposed to be the goofy duo.
Theres a saying: 10,000 hours (not literally, but the concept is thre same) is all you need to master any craft. Meaning, skill comes after. Anyone can learn almost anything to 90%. No1 can be usain bolt or John lennon, but every1 can be taught to act, in this example. Every actor just like every model was just lucky in terms of looks. Every1 in life is if they´re born good looking, but when it comes to modelling, acting, heck even porn & music (think avril lavigne or britney spears wouldve gotten signed and given songs if they were 6/10?), looks matter more and were more important/crucial for their career.
Practically 95% of all big earners in all sort of video culture are there ONLY because of their looks. Actors, musicians, porn actresses, models & maybe even some athletes.. none of them deserve praise. They didnt earn it, since they only worked hard AFTER theyve been chosen. (good face= easier to sell ads)
Suck on that one. There are NO good actors etc. Since they cant be deemed really good, as uglier and probably in many cases better skilled people werent even given a chance. They probably never were matched up against viggo mortensen in acting competitions f.ex. Or take the danish blonde jamie lannister guy in GoT. He´s not skilled, just good looking. No good looking person has ever had to prove himself/herself.
