If the referendum passes they will just hold another vote. They did the same thing in 2015 migrant crisis. The people voted against taking in migrants so they held another vote amongst the government that voted to allow them in. Democracy is a joke.

I will say that it is a clever argument to oppose immigration on the grounds of environmental concerns though. Hard for libtards to argue against it but than having weak arguments has never stopped liberals from winning.

Ya anyone who votes is a fool, I am surprised they even legitimately counted the votes. It would be easier for the government to just count up the votes and the government says sorry your side lost.

But like you said even if they lose a referendum, then they can have a vote in parliament and say sorry you lost there. Worst case they could have a court throw it out and say sorry you lost by court decision.

Or just hold another vote and keep voting in the parliament until they get the answer they want.
