Note that the 3-country coup belt along the Sahel have signed a mutual defense accord, primarily focused on counter-terrorism operations due to the rapid rise of terror!st organizations after the disastrous French withdrawal.

If Burkina didn't have an army, neighboring countries would rapidly intervene in Burkina soil. In such scenario, terrorism in the Sahel would be way impactful and rampant than the Iraqi Civil War if ECOWAS countries allowed BF to be overrun.Burkina Faso has an army?
