Yikerinos. Inside and outside of dating, lookism is an incredibly widespread prejudice -- one that is inextricably tied to race, gender, and social class -- yet one that somehow manages to elude conversation. Why are people uncomfortable with admitting that they are subconsciously drawn toward, or repulsed by, certain genetic traits?
Is it because that would require a level of introspection beyond their current emotional maturity?
