In some ways I think it's generational. You had to be there when these cartoons were coming out to see their pertinence. They look super dated now. If you were around at the time and didn't see them and can't relate now, just try to rewind and put your younger self in the midst of what was going on in that era, the technology, the sociopolitical climate, the trends and tropes. Beavis & Butthead was a social commentary.
