The fact that the Oedipus complex is a generally well-respected theory among normies who think of themselves as hip pseudo-psychoanalysts (this strain of normalfag is common among IT users) proves how they all think like a collective, similar to the Borg. Even those who don't fully agree with the psychological model generally see where it's getting at and say that it's interesting nonetheless. Ask them to explain why they agree with such a model and you'll never get a halfway decent answer

Contrast this to something as simple and easily digestible as the blackpill. Looks are the primary determinant of romantic/sexual success with women and today women as a whole are being excessively picky with which men's looks they will tolerate (hypergamy). Pretty fucking simple by comparison and easily proven. However normies will bend over backwards to deny and deboonk this because it's not a consensus belief to hold. They won't even acknowledge where it gets some things right, just outright opposition, even if it means contradicting other consensus views that they hold in the process.

This is also a feminine trait imo, as it is in the nature of women to bow to authority more than men (the ~60s Milgram electroshock study is a good example of that), which is not surprising, given how many normie males exhibit feminine behaviors and characteristics
