This was especially likely if evidence suggested that response to additional testosterone and pubertal testosterone would be poor. With parental acceptance, the boy would be reassigned and renamed as a girl, and surgery performed to remove the testes and construct an artificial vagina. This was based on the now-questioned idea that gender identity was shaped entirely from socialization, and that a man with a small penis can find no acceptable place in society.

It's always men who get fucked over by this. Perfectly good medical treatments existing as cures for their problem but being unable or dissuaded for using them for no good reason whatsoever.

We've spoken before about doctors not prescribing fin because "jus go bald lol its only cosmetic" and you can see countless other examples of it too, like guys with T levels of 90 year old eunuchs getting denied TRT. It's honestly fucking disgraceful. A doctor's purpose should be to help you treat your god damn problems, if you choose to take those risks then you should be allowed to.
