I am not sure Israel is actually defendable at this point. In war you need strategic depth. The idea is you have your forward forces at various defensive positions, and layers of defensive positions. Then if the enemy attacks at one or several of those forward positions, you have mobile forces and reinforcements which come in to help in those battles. Further back you have yet more forces and staging areas and warehouses and underground bunkers. So you can support operations as they go in at the frontlines.
Ok so why does that mean you need strategic depth. The problem if you don't have depth is your support systems can be hit by rockets and artillery. You also need ways to get weaponry, ammo and supplies into the country. For the Ukrainians that is easy, they have this very vast country with borders to the West. The West has this river of supplies coming in through all these roads and even rail going into the rest of Europe. How easy is it to get large amounts of stuff into Israel though. How many ports do they have. And are those ports in range of missiles/artillery.
