The WORST argument is this common quote that feminists say which is that it's "her body, her choice". First it isn't only her body it's a new human growing inside of her who most likely doesnt want to die. second there has to be a man involved who also should be allowed a say. But most importantly if the idea spreads that the woman has a right to do whatever she wants and to either refuse to have children or to get pregnant but not make the sacrifices it is necessary to in order for the child to be healthy, more and more women who WOULD make good mothers will choose not to have a child because they realise childbirth can have lasting effects on their bodies or that they have to skip that glass of wine in the evening and they have been told repeatedly that their enjoyment and their complete freedom of will is the only thing that matters.
The BEST argument is that abortion is an effective eugenics approach. Who gets abortions? poor, mostly black, women with low iq, low impulse control and an inability to think through the consequences of their actions who would invariably make terrible parents. it is a great thing for these women to not carry on their genetic line, so that the human species doesn't devolve in a number of ways by inheriting these traits. The book "Blueprint" by Robert Plomin is extremely clear about how heritable these traits are, not just obvious ones like intelligence but also the propensity to get into bad or unstable relationships, which was previously excused as "the child growing up wrong and witnessing bad behaviour that they then mimic later in life". A new generation of less intelligent, more violent, poorer people will grow up in an abortion-free world. People who behave in this way, having children while not in a stable relationship with a trustworthy man capable of providing for them, bringing up children in violent and poor households, refusing to work, should absolutely have the right to abortion, if anything simply because they are seemingly incapable of taking the proper precautions to not get pregnant to begin with and we as taxpayers would otherwise have to pay for generations of welfare cheques.
