Most people don't properly understand us.

They read some article where the authors conflate different parts of the incel community with blackpill (face and lms, scientific blackpill, lookism) and redpill, and then they think they know us.

At the end of the day the message they get is incels = evil and dangerous.
And at that point they are satisfied with the info they got, and it becomes part of public discourse.

At the end of the day, we are people who suffer because we are treated badly for the defects in our appearance/voice/height but people don't understand a problem they don't experience.
Also, it's more fun to read headlines where people are demonized.
And generally people don't have empathy for unsuccessful people, especially when they turn it into a moral failing ("didn't try hard enough", "too high standards", "bad personality").
When the public opinion is that a group of people is an enemy, then it's hard to convince them otherwise.
