Tinder has rolled out new verification features in Chadstralia. Users will be given the option to upload gov issue ID to verify their name, photo and date of birth. This is in addition to the old photo verification where a user would create a selfie that matches a generated pose.

I find it funny how they chose Chadstralia to test its new safety feature. I suspect it's due to the recent news articles about my chadfishing
I'll experiment over the coming days with frauding it to get that blue tick.
In summary, new tinder verification feature involves uploading some form of ID card to prove you're real. It is optional, and the other photo verification with a selfie pic can still be easily frauded by the method linked in the looksmax article.

We don't know if this kind of verification will be enforceable in all places, or used on all dating/hookup apps. And it remains to be seen if there are ways around it. Maybe in the future, if there are China-esque restrictions on internet access + ID requirements, then Chadfishing will become impractical for most users
