According to local sources, the gunmen have emerged from the road leading to the Division 7's base garrison while attacking with heavy equipment, destroying some vehicles and forcing the garrison to flee from the area. Rocket and mortar shells followed the attack, injuring several civilians in a nearby road after a stray shell.

HEAVY LOSSES amongst Nigerian ranks. Lots of equipment have been seized along with several other vehicles, including MRAPs.

Why do you think the Nigerian army has given up with raiding Sambisa Forest (terrorist main HQ, btw)? When they tried such land operations in both Lake Chad and Sambisa national forest, they were met with dozens of SVBIEDs and hundreds of guys with HMGs and motorbikes... and, of course, many of their soldiers died... just for what? Dismantling a SVBIED factory that you could mistake as a small camp site.
