The reason men want a good girl is because they care for the suffering of ither men.

Here's where it gets dark.

Men care, just because they've experienced pain and don't want another man/ men to go through the same pain.

Even more interestingly, they don't want them to go through pain because the man's egotistical. The man thinks he restrained himself and did a good job in restraining himself, during jealousy.

However, he doesn't think the same of the rest of the human population, he doesn't trust them and worries they'll try to kill him for causing him pain.

This is ultimately why men are kind and care for other men and don't want other men to go through unfortunate experiences, the reason they care is simply because they fear the other men.

This is why we want a poor girl, we remember how we felt while we were jealous. We simply believe we were mature and acted maturely but everyone couldn't be trusted, therefore we fear them and therefore care for them.
