You know how boomers and X-oomers used to have those jokes about their morthers in law, how she hated them and belitteled on many occasions, etc? This most likely stems from the fact that these guys were thought to be bad genetic material for the MIL's daughter and they hated this idea that this weak/non chad guy will bring his offspring through their daughter.
