What do lookism, polygamy, hypergamy, and all problems related to inceldom have in common? They can be attributed to our primitive brains.
Humans have been around for 200,000 years. Modern civilization dates to 10,000 years at the minimum.
It all becomes crystal clear: our brains had no time to catch up. They are stuck in the ancestral environment and are not going to reach society's standards anytime soon.
The only way provided by our ancestors of counterbalancing primitive behaviors was culture. Do you want to live in a functional society? You better select the best individual traits that benefit said society.
And so eugenics emerged to remove criminal tendencies, mental illnesses, physical weakness, lower intelligence, and promiscuous sexuality from the gene pool. It didn't work out very well.
Fathers started selecting husbands for their daughters so they could be certain that only law-abiding, hardworking men with healthy genes would reproduce. All according to their desires to make civilization functional.
Monogamous citizens were expected to reproduce and so were intelligent, physically strong, mentally healthy, and overall civilized individuals whose children would keep the civilizational wheel spinning.
As you can see, it went wrong. Look at the state of society in the 21st century. Nearly all efforts made by our ancestors tilted in the direction of combating primitive behaviors shaped by their old brains so we could live in a stable society free from degeneracy.
Humanity is going backwards. As a culture, we are normalizing primitive behaviors such as polygamy, hypergamy, lookism, homosexuality, hedonism, and so on.
When what we should be doing is promoting customs and values that benefit society so it can advance: monogamy, heterosexuality, age gap relationships, cooperation, and so on.
We either use culture as a way of promoting good behavior in order to create a functional society or we are destined to live as primitive beings for the rest of our existence.
