What was life like after dropping out? If you're a NEET, what kind of processes did you go through so that you don't become homeless?

I'm in electrical engineering, and I'm from the UK.
Literally I have never made friends or had romance in my life and a bunch of other stuff with dysfunctional family...
My professors are not helping me whatsoever. I have had to do several projects designed for 6-people teams by myself (1 person) and I can't keep up with the workload anymore. Honestly it looks like my entire life will be like this so I would prefer to NEET/LDAR or something idk tbh.
