That's George Lucas's first real mainstream film. Never seen it, but heard my father talk about it a few times when I was young. Isn't it about a group of teenagers during the late 50s and muscle car culture? Has the actor that played Opie in the Andy Griffith show, and Ritchie Cunningham from Happy Days. Harrison Ford is in it too, I believe.

I just finished watching the movie "Deliverance" from around the same time period as American Graffiti. That's a must watch in my opinion.
