I home brew and have 6 beers on tap right now. I am a chem nerd so I really enjoy messing around with recipes and making really big beers, like 8-13% alcohol stuff. If you are willing to make the initial investment and are willing to brew and clean you can save thousands of dollars a year too if you drink as much beer as I do.
Beer is the best cope though even if you're just buying it. It's tasty, fairly cheap, and anyone who tells you alcoholism is bad is bluepilled beyond belief. I've managed to maintain a research job for over 5 years now coming in either drunk or hungover nearly every day.
