Mainly because we are more likely to get hurt in life than to be happy.
We are more likely to work on behalf of destroying what separates us from what we love than loving to go forward/ be productive.
Our dopamine system is designed not to love working. It is designed to be joyful/ bring us when we are on top. Not when we are on the process of power. It is not self sustaining. We are not a species made for struggle. We are meant for power and dominance when they are available, and to hate being apart from that position.

We are not a happy working people. We work for power, and hate being without it. So when we are without power it's only natural for us to hate the entirety of being without it rather than to enjoy working towards it.
It's why most people fall into decay and laziness rather easily the farther away success/ power is. We do not enjoy/ delight seeing the struggle before us.

I hate happy clappy people. The insecurities of the world are the truth. Being happy just hurts the inevitable process.
Being hapyp with accomplishment always outwieghs the happiness of just being happy offhandedly.
Unconditional happiness is cuckery.
Primal value is more important than your mood.
It's just some are handed life to them like pampered brats to the point where their insecurity is periodic and brings them the depths of the mind in a more leisurely state.
