For they will inherit the earth.
Jeremy Ray Meeks was born on February 7, 1984, and is the son of Katherine Angier and Emery Meeks.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
In 2002, Jeremy Meeks was charged with robbery and corporal injury to a child, assaulting a 16-year-old boy when he was 18.
Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
He was sentenced to serve two years in a California prison, during which he admitted to claiming the North Side Gangster Crips. On June 18, 2014, Stockon Police Department arrested Meeks and three other men in a multi-agency law enforcement mission dubbed Operation Ceasefire.
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Meeks was listed as a "convicted felon, arrested for felony weapon charges". He denied the charges.
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.
The same day, Meeks' and the other men's mugshots were posted on the Stockton Police Department's Facebook page. Within 24 hours from when the photos were posted to the department's page, Meeks' photo had acquired more than 15,000 "likes" and 3,700 comments, mostly from women enamored with his looks.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
His now famous mugshot saw him snapped up by a top modelling agency as soon as he left jail. He has now become a successful model and has walked for many of the big fashion houses.
“I’m telling you guys, anything is possible. don’t ever get up. Keep… keep grinding, keep hustlin’, shoot for your dreams. You can do anything you want, I promise you. You just have to take that first step, take that hard step of actually doin’ something.”
