Question specially for those who live in predominantly Protestant countries like US, UK or Netherlands. Like an evangelist Karen telling you that you will go to hell because you worship Mary kek

They haven't tbh

No one cares about those kinds of autistic religious doctrinal differences in 2023 nor did they do so in 1534 for that matter. The average person can't even understand what these theological disputes are actually supposed to be about. It was always just a matter of "these people are distancing themselves from our community and saying forbidden things and that's unacceptable regardless of what that entails"

Nowadays all Christian denominations and even Mormons in the US are effectively part of the same interest group so this just has no reason to happen. Anything that these groups theoretically disagree on in the current age is pretty tertiary compared to literally everything else

This even applies to just the Catholic Church's situation internally. Most Catholics in the Americas don't believe in transubstantiation which is theoretically a serious offense that you can be excommunicated for but the Church simply cannot afford to deal with this right now

Im no schismaticel, unlike @Vitarius , mang :feelsEhh:

Once I heard jokes in real life about pedophile priests.

I also can't say based things on social media without being banned

What is transubstantiation?

What is transubstantiation?
Transubstantiation (Latin: transubstantiatio; Greek: μετουσίωσις metousiosis) is, according to the teaching of the Catholic Church, "the change of the whole substance of bread into the substance of the Body of Christ and of the whole substance of wine into the substance of the Blood of Christ".[1] This change is brought about in the eucharistic prayer through the efficacy of the word of Christ and by the action of the Holy Spirit. However, "the outward characteristics of bread and wine, that is the 'eucharistic species', remain unaltered".[1] In this teaching, the notions of "substance" and "transubstantiation" are not linked with any particular theory of metaphysics.[2]
