Fucking true. They weren't afraid at all to show blood. New gen anime has that how do I describe it? I would say "Plastic" look to it. Anime in the 90's and early 2000's like 1997 berserk, Lain, death note, just felt like there was more weight to everything. I like the grain and the grit with old anime.
