Nobody fucking reads anymore. We all know women dont unless it's some twilight 50 shades of bullshit

So do you guys read? What do you read? Favorite authors?

Stephen King is my favorite, and horror in general. Also enjoy nonfiction

Yes, i don't have favorite authors yet, post-modernism seems interesting.

my attention span is shit. i cant even read long posts online

nope. it feels too much like studying. would rather watch tv or play vidya

I stopped reading but I might start again. I might read my entire psychology textbook this summer.

Of course. And I can't take seriously anyone who doesn't. At the very least, read Wikipedia.

Ignorance sucks. It makes you weak and vulnerable to the bullshit of others. It makes you do stupid things. It makes you look ridiculous. It makes you unable to find the words necessary to speak your mind. Life is about wisdom and intelligence, not merely intelligence. Books provide wisdom and help you make better choices.

Only digital ones

yeah i like fantasy, I have the whole witcher collectors edition next to me on my desk for example :feelzez:

A few years back I read, a lot, and I was low key pretentious about it, haha. Use to be one of those unbearable, fedora type atheist (((intellectuals))).
Since the dark days began, I haven't really done anything, reading included. I've always meant to start again though, and I certainly will, if death doesn't claim me first.
If you like horror, you should really check out Lovecraft. Been meaning to make a post about him, real incelcore.

ya i read. i like kafka and a bunch of other writers. stephen kings pretty good too.

The last time I fully read a book was in HS, I have a bookshelf with a few classics that Iv'e been meaning to read though

Lovecraft is great, I need to read more of his stories

Hold it right there, bucko. Drop those books, buddy boyo.

I read as much as I can, but other obligations typically interfere. What really gets me laughing are the Twitter soyboys whose infinitely wise advice to incels is "read a book" - ideally by a stronk womyn author. That's what cunts are looking for, yeah. The entirety of her cultural experience is curated by Netflix but you clearly don't make the cut because ur lasy looser.

Same. It bothers me when people dont feed their brain. At least listen to an audiobook. But hey, different strokes I guess. But I'd go crazy without books

Yep! They have no understanding of culture

Same man. Sometimes I read a whole page and I don't even know what the hell I've just read.
I know that it's standard, bluepilled advice, but its really something you gotta practice. If you don't wanna read anyway it is cool, but if you wish you could, then you'd be amazed how your mind adapts after a book or two.
I've went through several long reading droughts in my life, it always takes a while before I can de-rust, and until I do it feels like a chore, but after that it can be as entertaining and engaging as any other media.

Damn, that looks sick af :feelsohh:

Yes, I read a lot, both fiction and nonfiction. However, "when we read books, we learn about all the awesome things we could do and all the awesome stuff we could have had if we didn't read books" is somewhat true.

Used to read a lot of fantasy Middle Earth, Traitor Son Cycle, Broken Empire Trilogy

Yeah, Dostoyevsky is my favourite. Houellebecq is the most relevant contemporary author for incels, IMO.

I read erotic fan fiction occasionally. Some people are really good at it.

But i want to read pynchon and the like.

I can't bring myself to read any of the new shit. Soyboys keep telling us to read stuff by STRONK FEMOID AUTOORS, forgetting that the majority of authors are left-wing females anyway, and it shows in the prose. Not to mention the Mary Sue protagonists and the formulaic plots.

I would read more if I could find more stuff written before the 21st century, but firing up my Amazon Kindle just nets me more of this modern mass produced tripe--and their self-pub section, which is just a massive slush pile anyway.

I read a decent amount of books. Still do. Don't have a favorite author yet because I usually don't read more than 2 books from the same man.

Yeah. I'm reading some kind of short story collection right now.

But i want to read pynchon and the like.

Peter Jordanson is going to cry on camera if you keep it up.

I do like a bit of Postmodern fiction (Pynchon is good - start with V. or The Crying of Lot 49; there's also Bolaño and Gaddis). Avoid the school of DFW-acolyte feminist beardboys, though.

My attention span sucks as well. I've read lots of books between ages 22 and 26 but then it diminished. I prefer audiobooks now.

I fight a lot against my shitty attention span and distractions to read at least a couple of books per year. But I don't read fiction at all.

most of the people I see out there reading are women. Have no interest/attention span/time. At most an audio book but even then I get tired quickly.

and what are they reading, tolkien? kek
dunno shitty novels I suppose. Never pay much attention and assume it's a worthless waste of time like 90% of what women do.

I've read col49, it was a very nice read, i ordered gravity's rainbow which should arrive soon, that book has been shilled to death and so i looked into it and i liked the premise, it will be my longest read seeing as i've never read a book that large and complexe, V. sounds like something i'd want to read too, i would read it in the future.

'Foids musn't be allowed near anything other than Twilight and 50 Shades of Grey.
If I ever catch one with Tolkien's work, I will snatch it away from their filthy claws! :feelsree:

For some reason I have a thing for all the classic socialist rags. In Dubious Battle, Grapes of Wrath, East of Eden, etc. I also like For Whom the Bell Tolls and Homage to Catalonia.

Nonfictions about relatively obscure modern conflicts are fascinating. Chechen war, breakup of Yugoslavia, invasion of Georgia, Iran/Iraq war, Rhodesia, I could go on.

I also like diving into stuff like Waco, Ruby Ridge, and the operations of the federal govt. and the milita movement in the 90s. Not because I'm a huwite supremacist coper, but because I just like all the detailed plots and stuff that went down.

Life is about wisdom and intelligence, not merely intelligence. Books provide wisdom and help you make better choices.

I'm too low IQ to be wise.

Only book I read regularly is the new world translation of the Bible.

i wish i could because its so much better than a movie or tv show.

I like reading books on occultism and the jews, currently reading David Irvings Goring biography. I suggest people read Alister Crowley's work and the free mason bible so you can start noticing all the occult satanism that is going on and why there's a freaking obelisk in our nations capital, Washington DC wasn't built by Christians.

itt pretentious faggots

I read infrequently because I can only be interested in things I relate to most of the time.

don't read shit.
