- a 100+ year old who hits on schoolgirls.
- he grabs Bella and lifts her when she's faint, in spite of her telling him repeatedly to go away and put her down.
- he is a virgin pedo vampire incel
- he stalks Bella and watches her sleeping.
- he enjoys alienating the other guys in Forks.
However, he looks good and he sparkles. In fact, Bella is interested in him before they've interacted at all, because he's good-looking and has v. striking eyes.
Yet this is what foids were reading and fantasizing about for much of the 2000s. It even spawned a fantasy for older women, 50 Shades of Grey, which was also perhaps dubious in personality terms.
