Just like how there's no death without life and no life without death, no beautiful thing can exist without its ugly shadow also existing somewhere out there, a magnetic monopole doesn't exist, nothing can attract without its opposite repelling
Beauty cannot exist without ugly, the whole spectrum of aesthetic comes in a package, especially since a lot of things that are deemed beautiful are that way in spite of the ugly not despite of, when you or the collective specifically "likes" something, you're also indirectly disliking the opposite of it which creates an entity in the shadows, a monster, the ugliness that if associated with YOU causes immense suffering

In time the whole spectrum might move forward like how the average human today has better life than 1000 years ago but the spectrum will always exist, for this exact reason "love" cannot exist, it's all just "like", the only way to help reduce this is eugenics and euthanasia, when a perfect horse breaks its leg it'll be put down but ugly underprivileged people are left alone in brutal defectiveness to suffer in silence, and ignoring the shadow for too long creates monsters and atrocities
