I would like to point out a disconnect between OP's title and OP's body.
masterbate is an attempt to coom
cooming is the completion of masturbation
These are not interchangeable ideas.
I for example sometimes actually fall asleep while I fap without actually cooming.
This often leads to waking up and trying again, so would that count as fapping in 2 separate instances even though there's only 1 eventual coom outcome?
I voted 'depends' which is closest.
I never coom more than once per day, it's like a thing I sometimes do before bed to help get to sleep.
Once I accomplish that I crawl into bed.
Sometimes I just give up for whatever reason (too sleepy to focus, too erect to do it non-painfully, too soft to feel anything, etc) and don't even get there, and put it off for later.
Maybe I'll say I fap 0.5 times per day (let's say I try every other day, just a guess) and coom 0.25 times per day (ejaculate once per 4 days)
Gradually becoming low-T is something that can happen as you get older and get behind on health-supporting things like getting a good night's sleep, or having hope for a future with a GF that shrinks as black pill sits in.
That's probably something to do with it, because usually the same tried-and-true scenarios I've rehashed for years on end still tend to work when I commit to them.
Not always in the mood to commit to them of course which is where you'll vary it up a bit in your mental pics.
One thing you guys might come to learn is that having a mental/intellectual interest in erotica (or lewd thoughts and satisfactions) can be very distinct from actually choosing to rub your boner.
I basically have a lot of subtle mental boners which I like to pay attention to and celebrate which don't necessarily graduate into full-fledged physical ones.
IE "the cartoon girl showed her feet for 2 seconds" is a mental boner but at best it's a dick twitch not a full-mast "gotta coom" situation.
Whereas "I just consecutively read 5 new hentai mangas" tends to get me at mast by surprise and I'm all like "wtf I'm actually still a man, I guess it took five stories of deflowering imoutos to remind my brain"
