I suggest the game "Slay the Spire" to those who are kind of burned out on gaming and don't find most games interesting anymore.

Idk what it is about this game, but it just sucked me in.

I played it more than a year ago for many hours, but I reinstalled it a few weeks ago and I played it so much I have 62 hours recorded on steam in just a few days.

And this game is weird as hell for me. For those who know the game: I beat act 3 with all 4 characters on the first try. Act 4 was harder but I did it with Ironclad and the Silent. But the Defect? I've spent the last 3 fucking days playing like 10 hours a day, and I still can't beat act 4 with the defect. I got close a few times, once really close, but I was fucked cause the game stalled out too long and the heart started attacking me for 200+ damage a turn and I only had like 180 block.

What I'm trying to say, it can be really easy and fun, or it can be so fucking hard you want to gouge your eyes out.

Also there's mods. I installed an expansion mod and I beat a run on the first try! Unfortunately I didn't know how to get to act 4, turns out I needed to break the keys but I didn't know that, so they didn't let me through to act 4 which was a shame cause my deck was pretty strong.

P.S: Monster Train is another game that is just as good.

I actually enjoyed this more than slay the spire, the music is fantastic.
However, the big thing that annoyed me is that both games suffer from the same problem. As ascension continues, and you unlock more of the cards, while some are more powerful, it begins to become more and more luck. Slay the Spire got some amazing mods, hopefully monster train gets some too after they finish pushing out the major updates.

Yeah the RNG is pretty heavy in both games. After a while the charm of the games wears off, you burn out and you do get tired of the bullshit RNG. But the first tens of hours of these kinds of games are very fun, so at least we can be thankful of that. I have no life so I guess that's why I spend so much time on games, but it's unrealistic for me to demand what I've always demanded from them, thousands of hours of entertainment. By then everything loses its charm.
