Then Velma is tired and tells him to choose between her or the dog and Shaggy chooses the dog, man wtf. There's this running gag of Velma being alone with Shaggy and about to make out (or more but they don't specify it ) or asking him on a date but Scooby comes out of nowhere with another plan which Shaggy accepts and Velma is left disappointed. This show was the best Scooby-Doo series IMO. While the artstyle was a bit weird I liked how all the episodes were connected and how it had character development, it was a very ambitious project because they could have made a series like What's new Scooby-Doo or the original (different mystery each episode and that's it) but they wanted something better. Too bad it was cancelled before season 3, even if the season 2 ending was good there were still so many things to explain.
