There are a lot of female volcels, there are also a lot of men who might want to have sex, but don't think that the reward is worth the effort so they don't bother, probably as a result of having a low libido. Again low or very specific sexual urges isn't the same thing as having no desire for sex at all.

We're talking in circles tbh, the definition of asexual includes those who simply have a low sex drive. The only thing I'm suggesting is that the number of people who genuinely have no attraction to anyone and no desire for sex whatsoever is so small as to be irrelevant. But tbh I don't think that we have the information to say for sure either way.
Not to mention that obviously a lot of adult virgin men are going to lie about being asexual, and even more will lie about not being virgins. So it's hard to trust any of these figures regardless of how we're going to define asexuality.
