So is religion actually a cope for the downtrodden? Yes, it mostly is.
We can look at this chart here and see that atheism is less prevalent in third-world countries, but in the developed parts of world it is high.
What is the purpose of Religion?
Religion mainly servers as a means for people to absolve fear of death and to explain any mysteries of the world. When people live in areas with high crime, pollution, poverty, and low quality of life, they are more likely to be content with the situation if they have a belief in an afterlife. Belief in the afterlife gives them hope that they will be rewarded for all their suffering at a later time.
Why is Religion a Cope?
Religion is a cope because it doesn't solve any problems for people within their lifetime. Some may say that it is harmless for people to believe in religion if it makes them feel better. However, in reality it is dangerous to maintain trust in religion just for a feeling of hope. The reason is that those that believe in an afterlife are much less likely to fight against any injustices they are already facing in the current life. There may be actions that they can take to improve the situation, real actions that they may be more likely to take if they understood that death is the end. Believing in religion for hope will make people passive and not willing to change their situation.
Should We Push Religion to Remove Inceldom?
There's not really large evidence that a large return to religion is going to solve the incel problem. Many users believe that things would be solved if we had Christianity or Islam. However, the problem is that if you already don't believe in these things, you won't suddenly be able to just because you want to, and additionally you can't make society believe as much as they used to. Once people understood religion is fake, they aren't just going to go back because it can supposedly solve society's problems. It's also more bluepilled than blackpilled to push things that don't have a basis in reality. Thus, we should accept religion is fading out and look at the reality we actually face.
Why Should You Not Believe in Religion?
Many seem to want to believe in religion just because of seeing some "Degeneracy" in society. The thing that has to be understood is that religion is still false whether people promote it as a solution to degeneracy or not.
It's not beneficial for incels to believe in religion because ultimately it is bluepilled. The stories are completely illogical, and when examined with a simple understanding of science they all fall apart. Religions were created by humans, to control other humans. There is historical evidence for their evolution and we have a pretty good understanding now of how religions developed and then branched into other religions.
There is ultimately no afterlife awaiting, no heaven or hell. What we have is the reality now and this is the life that we are living. Some seem to think it's better to believe in something if it gives hope, but this bluepilled thinking wouldn't be accepted for other topics, so it shouldn't be for religion as well.
How Do We Know There's No Afterlife?
It's actually quite simple to demonstrate that there is no afterlife without any complex demonstrations or philosophy. If we eat a sandwich piece by piece, when the sandwich is done, it isn't going to respawn somewhere. If we destroyed parts of a computer, the function with those parts goes, the entire function won't return when the whole computer is destroyed. Similarly, neuroscientists have been able to map brain functions to many parts of the brain. When parts of the brain are destroyed, functions in those areas stop. We know that drugs or brain damage can alter the brain's state due to damage to parts of the brain. If removing parts of the brain removes the functioning of those parts, it isn't reasonable to believe that when the whole brain is destroyed it will suddenly respawn whole in the afterlife. Our consciousness is completely tied to the brain.
Another thing you can notice, is that when very tired, you can feel your consciousness and awareness fading out and brain functions operating at a lower level and things can feel distant or disjointed. Death is just the complete fading of consciousness, permanently.
What Does It All Mean?
It's important to maintain blackpill realities with ourselves and accept that religion is not real, nor is it compatible with the blackpill. This means if you want to focus on maxxing of anything, you should do so in this lifetime.
Religion is a cope for the downtrodden
Why do you think there's less religious people in first world countries than in third world ones? Because people who have their needs met don't need to cope as much. People living in squalor need to cope just to make it through another day. They need to cope that if this life isn't good then at...
