India and Pakistan have been fighting meaninglessly for a piece of land Kashmir for more than 70 years , billions of dollars of both countries have been lost because of studity of both countries.

The root cause of problem is looks . The muslims of Kashmir are comparatively fairer skinned than rest of Indian people so they naturally hate Indian people as consider Indians to be inferior. So they want to join Pakistan as Pakistani people are also comparatively fair skinned.

The biggest proof is that the land which is in contention also includes an area called Jammu where people are dark skinned like Indians and surprisingly muslims of Jammu don't want to be with Pakistan as they know that in pakistan they will be treated like untouchables. Dark skinned Indian muslims who migrated to Pakistan are treated like untouchables by fair skinned Pakistanis and are called as Muhajirs.
