And it has given me a fever for the 80's on top of wanting to binge all the way to the final episode. It's so damn incredible seeing some form of media with likeable, risk-taking and slightly edgy male characters. The premise of the series is akin to the 'buddy cop' trope however the two cops that have to work together don't like each other and initially struggle to get along. None of the women are fat, masculine or feminism-wrangled in the slightest. Feels really weird at the same watching this shit because it makes me realize how only 3-4 decades ago the quality of life for American men was far greater than what it is right now. We are so far away from the pleasures and atmosphere depicted in this gem to the point of younger viewers classifying it as 'fantasy' lol
