Back when this forum first started, I had a vision for this forum. While it's obviously not my forum, i originally advocating for a largely laissez-faire moderation style as I wanted a forum similar to how puahate was. Perhaps I was looking at puahate through rose colored nostalgia goggles, but either way I quickly realized that this vision was unrealistic.
Almost immediately after the forum started, people from lookism started pouring in, partially due to the fact that were was a controversy where the owner of lookism was exposed for having a bitcoin miner on the site and deleting any threads discussing it, and even banning some users for it. While a small number of these users were good ( @FACEandLMS and @TheRealChincel for example) the majority were low quality trolls. Among those trolls were a small number of hyper neurotic, autistically motivated BBC spammers who used numerous alt accounts to push their agenda. At first, I didn't care too much, but then after talking to a lot of /r/incels originals who were unhappy with the state of this site, particularly the gentrification of lookismers (chief complaints were male model worship threads, ratings threads, and BBC spam) I changed my tune.
We were essentially given two options:
1) Have a laissez-faire moderation style which would mean that the culture of lookism.net would cannibalize the site
2) Introduce new rules to prevent this website from becoming another lookism.net
We decided on option 2, for many reasons. First and foremost, incels.co (then "incels.me") was created as a new home for /r/incels users, who at the time were homeless (braincels had not yet taken off). Secondly, lookism is a complete cesspool and a good example of what happens when you let autistic trolls run amok with 1000 alt accounts. Third, lookismers already have a site, there is absolutely no reason to allow them to gentrify our forum when a site for them already exists.
The ratings threads and male model worship threads were pretty easy to put a stop to...but the BBC spammers were a completely different ball game. They have an aspie determination the likes of which I have never seen in my 20+ years of being on internet forums. I have never seen any trolls put even 1 percent of the dedication that BBC spammers have. In fact, I don't think I have seen anyone, be it online or in real life, show anywhere near as much motivation towards anything that these BBC spammers had towards their "craft". One in particular made probably close to 100 accounts just to racebait. This was the user that I ended up having this legendary pop-off towards in the ban appeal section, which ended up getting featured as #1 in @Sans's top 30 funniest incels.co ban appeals video.
This BBC spammer was so bad that SergeantIncel had to ban several entire IP ranges, and even then he managed to get back in a few more times.
As for their motives, I am absolutely certain that their M.O. was to generate animosity, particularly among whites towards blacks. That's the only explanation that makes any sense. Nobody is THIS autistically dedicated towards something just for "the lulz" nor is it a sexual thing as others have theorized. This is clearly the work of a small number of angry stereotypical basement dwellers that are desperately trying to cause a race war like their lives depend on it. I would bet my life on it.
Unfortunately this propaganda is effective on....to be blunt, some young impressionable incels looking for answers. I will not allow this forum to be used as a propaganda tool for BBC spammers. For those of you who have fallen for this propaganda, know that you're being played for a fool by a few ultra autistic basement dwellers psychotically hellbent on starting a race war.
The clamp down on BBC spammers has led some to believe there is a double standard and that JBW posters have never had threads deleted or have been warned for their behavior. Some even believe that the mods, myself in particular, support JBW theory. For one, plenty of JBW posters have had threads deleted and have been warned. In particular there's one couple of a decent looking woman with a facially deformed guy (who happens to be white) that frequently gets used as "evidence" of JBW. This couple has been posted upwards of 50 times, and it is always deleted with the poster being warned for cherrypicking, which is explicitly against the rules. Furthermore, users have been warned for "cherrypicking" and being "bluepilled" for talking about "muh ugly (white) guys with hot girls". Cherrypicking is explicitly against the rules no matter what point the poster is trying to prove.
Anyway, feel free to air out any grievances towards me, or call me a "bbc loving cuck" in this thread, I can assure you that I won't warn you for "user targeting" or anything of the such. Cherrypicking and racebaiting rules are still in effect though, obviously.
