It's such a shame that they (apparently) harm game developers and publishers!

I want to buy The Long Dark - it looks so fun! But outside of those sites it's like £30 and on them it is £5!

In this case apparently the game is reduced from time to time so I could wait.

To my fellow PC gamers - what would YOU do? :)

(I guess this assumes that it is a game you really want!)

you just dewit the other way

not paying a shit to these corporation

I pirate it or just buy it. Not even pirating anymore since I don't have tjne

I check if it's on GoG. If it's not, I get a different game.

GOG is good yeah! I have the Galaxy client and lots of games on there including some that I play regularly. It's a great platform :)

That being said I do actually use most of the PC gaming platforms especially as that way I get lots of free and cheap deals on games ^^

I don't even install the client, I just download the offline game installers, and use those. I like that I can back them up to my own hardware, and they'll work anytime. It gives me peace of mind.

Only other client I use is Steam, and I hate it, so it's been designated to my secondary, backup gaming laptop. It's unfortunate for me, but some games (like Raft or Half Life 2) are only available on Steam, or at least not available on GoG, so I have to take the necessary evil to play them.

Oh I see. Don't you get tempted by the free/cheap game deals on different platforms? :o

No. I just like having my DRM-free copies more.

Just pirate digital keys, remember that corporations will have no problem cucking you out of what you bought for whatever reason, remember what happened with Russian Snoy consoomers.

Yah but I never really buy bigger games anyway XD

Indies are too good ^^

Hm I guess. To be honest I don't really notice the difference.

I've bought a few games on key resale sites, but the majority of my games (99%) come from Steam sales, Fanatical, and Humble Bundle. Though I am very cautious when doing this, recently I had a key that I bought off of G2A revoked from my account due to some unknown reason.

Oh strange. I must have been lucky as I've never had that happen before. It's a shame they can be dodgy because I don't think it's an inherently bad business model.
