Beyond sex, betas need to be convinced (=deluded) they're somewhat special, worthy, good, have a nice personality, good styling, did the right choices in life, believe all the true things (cultural memes and fads) and decries all the bad things (non-mainstream ideas) etc. by foids who are not explicitly paid for that purpose, in order to maintain their cherished delusion of "romantic success" and "social achievement".
This is a recurrent theme, the beta male needs to believe himself as a hero of his own life, and paying someone on fiver to leave a voicemail saying "you're a hero bro", or paying a prostitute to bounce on your dick for 30 minutes, doesn't generate the illusion of heroism, conquest, victory, achievement etc. This delusion can only be attained if it is not explicitly asked for, and can only be maintained if it is not examined for what it is -- betabuxxing, money-coping in exchange for ego strokes and delusion.
