SEA (South-East Asia) -- where is the easiest to settle down?

There are many people who like SEAmaxx and it's cool. But where in SEA a foreigner can really find: 1. a legal job (especially if he's not a native English speaker), 2. affordable rent-a-house (especially if he's a poor one), 3. not very hostile locals (low levels of xenophobia)?

If someone really lives there or at least lived well around a year there, suggest some country? (I think except Vietnam, I can be in everyone. I just avoid Vietnam.)

If you're mentioning Malays. Chinese Malaysians are the otherwise, you need at least RM10500 (around $2400) per month income to settle with her
