I have been using the school's WiFi for some time now without a VPN. I just downloaded a free one off the internet. Will it conceal my tracks from the university?

Do you have to register your devices there? I know nowadays a lot free wifi things want some sort of registration. If not and you can just snap onto it, they wouldnt even waste their time tbh. Tbh I dont imagine they would anyway. There are a fuck ton of incels in universities. It wouldnt make sense for them to start targeting guys who put a ton of funding into them.

Plenty of free OK VPN... Even tor.

Tor and orbot (the VPN thing) comes with a new "bridge" thingy to get around blocking of tor! So you might have to use that. It's easy...

It's mostly text so the slow down won't be too noticeable...

But you're devices may be leaking info. WiFi id numbers. Log in passwords and time stamps... All kinds of weird little mostly invisible shit can id you. Such as you're "computer/device name." As well as you're operated systems.

i keep my names very generic. I also have my WiFi id set to be randomized each time. Pretty cool feature!

also, try to use an open DNS (domain name registry service) anything besides Google or given by you're ISP... (open DNS is good) have to dig deep to change that bro....
