True. It's a very useful creative aid.

That's not going to happen. It's just fear mongering by the same technocrats who tell you about the dangers of AI publicly, but then aggressively rush to be ahead of the competition in its research. Sam Altman, for example, publicly talks about AI regulation, but behind closed doors he lobbies very hard to restrict the regulation. If they're profit-motivated and speaking publicly as the good guy trying to warn humanity, take it as a big sign that they're full of shit.

AI is, and will continue to be, a very sophisticated tool. Nothing more, nothing less. It won't be sentient, it won't develop a mind of its own, and it won't have intentionality and kill humans. Those are all science fiction tropes.

Have you heard Eliezer Yudkowsky?

Ok. Yea he’s a fear mongerer I think he’s getting paid for it.
The point is to keep living your life and improve your skills, regardless of what these public figures peddle. The only real risk is economic disruption in the form of job sectors being negatively affected by automation. Ask yourself if your current job can be done 100% by a computer program and robot. If the answer is yes, then you're probably at risk of being rendered obsolete and should remain open to the possibility of being replaced by a machine soon. If not, who gives a fuck.

The humans who use it could though, and that's the crux of most of the anti-AI arguments.

That's a human problem, not a technological problem. There will always be shitty people (mostly in the form of governments) doing shitty things with technology.

True, the whole "ai-regulation "movement" " is just DEI for 130 iq people. Actual intelligent people are way more emotionally and morally stable than the average person, and they're the only people who can actually use the technology effectively.

It's just mass-scale projection from the midwit class, who want to copy the success of the anti-nuclear proliferation movement.
