But now video games have become boring and useless, and studying is too much of a cope now that I know Chad and Stacy can get anywhere in life with only one tenths of the effort.
Anyone got some interesting copes? Also I haven’t seen anything under the cope tag lately so I decided to put it on this post

Hating ugly roasties is my cope. Rejecting that "payment" world can offer me for hard work

they were both big copes for me for many yrs but not that much anymore :feelsrope:

I listen to music and watch old horror films as cope. I cant really seem to get into video games these days

Video games were a good cope. I might get back into it this summer.

This is my cope. Browsing this site

lern how to play tetris on a good level , play fighting games , play competitive games

I’m traveling and staying in an Airbnb that has no internet or phone signal. I have to go outside to use the phone which forces me to spend more time outside and being productive.

Lifting weight got very boring so I signed up to ufc gym. It’s farm more interesting, there is heavy bags, large tires to flip over and tons of shit to do. There is also a nice empty swimming pool and I’ve been swimming everyday.

I feel like the no internet thing is the best thing that happened to me on this holiday.

Do you gymcel?

Looksmaxxing is my only good cope ngl

moneymaxxing & escortceling

Best cope combination

Isolation and sanity is my cope, I'm slowly beginning to lose both.

You can try anime. :feelsmage:

What fighting games do you like?

I started gymcelling at home. Using the school gym on and off, when I have time.

Nice
I know you were talking to someone else but I'm currently playing soul calibur 6 alot(online is pretty dead atm) and I want to learn tekken but the movement tech seems way too advanced. Korean dashing seems like something you have to practice for at least a year to get comfortable with. Tekken is like learning a new instrument.

Do you play tekken on pc? Back when I played tekken I learned that on keyboard and hitbox, movement is way easier and there's a trick where you can do electrics 100 percent of the time and it made me enjoy the game more because I could play mishimas.
It's like this but with tekken 7 and you can do it on keyboard using the same method

yea I have it on pc it's not installed right now I don't think just giving me "easy tech" will make me a good player but if we could get a gaming sub and dm each other some discords we can play. I tried to learn tekken but I can't move around so I just played a bit of soul calibur. TBH I haven't really played fighting games since SF4 and I was really into Melee/PM for a while. I feel like SF5 is a shitty game I played a bit of it and don't like it. KOF has a ridiculous input barrier(you need to be frame perfect for alot of the combos I don't want to practice for 30 minutes a day on combos doesn't sound like fun) I like soul calibur alot because I can learn a combo in 2 minutes and SF was the same deal pretty much. Trying to get into tekken is insane so I already know I'm gonna look like a fucking retard in there because I've tried playing it before. The thing about tekken also is that alot of the strings are unsafe as fuck compared to soul calibur where 1. It's easy to just learn strings by playing characters without even looking at their movelists 2. there are only 3 buttons and it's pretty obvious which moves string into what 3. alot of strings are safe is you just end them 1 move early
Tekken is 20 times more complex character/input wise.
Also in tekken man uppercuts of any sort are really unsafe I get punished the fuck out. It's not that I can't do this stuff it's just that "Doing it to a training dummy is not the same thing as pulling it off in the middle of a fight" I tried playing as Kazuya once and on paper he seems like a godlike character "Land one electric get mad damage" in practice however it's much different. Devil Jin is another godlike character but once again on paper he's godlike but in practice less so because the amount of input knowledge you need to master his combo game.

Electrics is considered one of the best moves in the game, but it's a just frame so you have to have 200+ hours just to still fuck it up. The technique basically says fuck the execution barrier. I liked sf4 a lot because of teching and the defensive options where as sf5 has zero good defensive options. It feels like the whole game is meaty(plus move on block) into throw or buttons and if you didn't have a 3 frame jab you were fucked. I got to diamond in that game in season 2 and it was the biggest waste of time in my life. I agree with you with kof and one thing that's strange is that Mexicans are gods at that game series. If you have Mexican blood you're automatically a kof pro. Soul calibur is also fun because of the customization, but it sucks that it's dead.

mexicans are god at KOF because that's all they had in their arcades chinese people too. I know what you mean about just frames though I miss just frames alot in soul calibur and aren't they easier than Tekken?? Are there "Electrics" Then "Just frame electrics" and is the just frame variant safe on block? the thing about tekken is the game don't tell you shit.

Same here OP, i run out of copes very quickly, always searching for new material.

There's wind god fist and then there's electric wind god fist(the just frame). The just frame is safe on block. If you do play tekken you should play jin or devil jin.

I was thinking bryan or paul because in 2 I played paul and in 3 I like bryan and paul. Then again the way you play the game is 100 percent different now and back then nobody knew what the fuck they were doing anyway.

Back sway characters are way harder to korean back dash with but if you can do it with them you can do it with everyone. If you don't enjoy playing with them then try out jin or devil jin and use the keyboard electric shortcut.

I wish there would be more Ninja Warrior gyms.

This is the hard part the korean backdash man. I mean can play an instrument and this tech is such a bitch I tried learning it with mixed success for so long and it's ridiculous. I swear it's easier to multishine into waveshining in melee/pm than fucking doing that shit. That's my biggest problem I'll probably never get good at tekken.

I played melee and it's way harder to multishine and waveshine than korean backdash. Kb is hard in the beginning, but after a week of a few hour sessions you will be good. I don't know what you play on. I think stick is the hardest for it. What I do is back back, then I hold down and back, then I let go of down while still holding on to back and press back again, then I repeat steps 2 and three.

yea I play on stick I got an old quanba that I used to use for xbox 360 still compatible with pc. Also I think waveshining is only hard on certain characters for the most part waveshining is easy as fuck because you just do "safe aerial on shield input multishining and waveshining now" If I picked the sticks back up it would probably take me a week or so to get it down but tbh the inputs are not very hard they are just very fast. Tekken requires rhythm or I'm just doing it all wrong.

Yeah took me a while to learn some tekken lingo. It’s so different to street fighter
Did it work?
No, but it’s fun to watch
