The Ukrainian-Russian war has got to be one of the dumbest wars in history. I'll list some reasons why:

1. Ukraine and Russia are similarly corrupt
Data from Wikipedia has shown that in 2020, Ukraine ranked 116th in corruption while Russia ranked 137th; really not that far when you only compare East European countries.

2. Ukrainians are regularly confused as Russians

Foreigners can't tell the difference of Russians and Ukrainians, because they are genetically related, and their language sounds similar as well. There were incidents in which Ukrainians mistaken each other as Russians and started fist fights over it. I've lost the news link of this incident, but they are not rare.

3.Both sides are stuck at a statement (sort of) of WW1 style trench fighting

Historically, trench fighting is used to symbolize the futile of a situation, of young men going into a grinder.

4.Ukrainian/Russian men are dying for foids who go onto slut with foreigners

This one is obvious.

6.Life Under Russia

I can't see how life under Russia can be much worse, considering both countries/cultures are similar down to the language/corruption index. However, if Russia is brutal towards Ukrainians, then that's also really stupid.
