I think the sperm donor was a Judaic Hebrew guy named Arnold Klein.

I mostly think of him as light skinned like he was in the late 80s, kinda ambiguous looking

IIRC, one of his nieces took a DNA test and came out at 36% black (her mother wasn't black at all), which would make him 70-75% black (and likely 25-30% white), on the whiter side by African-American standards (average AfrAm is 80% black, 19% white, 1% Amerindian)
His father was pretty light skinned and even had green eyes.
But yes, definitely a black man who became phenotypically whiter as he got older
