Schizophrenia is something I suffer from, where I imagine noises in my head and think they might exist IRL
It has to do with my imagination being over-active and anthropomorphizing background noise and interpreting them as faint indiscernable whispers.

I imagine trans suffer from that too though, possibly over-represented since I think it's due to stress, but it's not an absolute rule or anything.
