The AI isn't retarded, it doesn't even have intelligence. "AI" is really just a very complex statistical model. Presumably, it would be better able to respond to this prompt if the creators specifically tweaked the training data, but as it is it's probably just reproducing unbiased data where the vast majority of men are taller than their woman. Which we already know is true.
