I was thinking about this while playing the Lonesome Road DLC for Fallout New Vegas. The main antagonist is this brooding edgy guy who speaks in weird political allegories and gives verbose poetic speeches throughout the whole story about how you are fated rivals and adversaries and it is your destiny to kill each other in combat. The plot is that some years ago you delivered a package that unintentionally caused the destruction of his home and since then he became obsessed with you and now his goal is to show you all the destruction you caused and kill you
This plot only makes any sense whatsoever if you're playing as a male character. It's impossible for a male to have this attitude towards a female. The closest male-female equivalent of this dynamic would be an incel stalker
