The book starts of similar to the movie taxi driver, as we see new york in all its decadence and degeneracy and crime throughout the eyes of someone in a cab (a wall street yuppie)

The character (not bateman) talks about how ''some depraved faggot'' killed two teenage boys and made the news and ''baseball players with aids, faggots dropping like flies'' as he reads the news paper

There is a paragraph which just goes on about this guy reading in the paper about an unrealistic amount of crime and death being inflicted on babies

He rants how it happens here, in new york and how much it sucks

He then comments about homeless bums he sees on the street and says ''we get some crazy fucking homeless nigger who actually wants to be on the streets'', he says has he rants about how shit the city is

And he sees a homeless foid

''let the fucking bitch freeze to death, put her out of her own goddamn self made misery''

Haven't read any more, but I peaked at page 200, where Batemen describes how he fucked some bitch he was talking to at a club last spring by shoving his whole arm up her vagina while he covered her face with duck tape and drugged her up on coke and tied her up.

He then says he wished he saw her bleed to death

I read a few more pages, nothing interesting

They arrive at their destination where a foid is holding party and making a big deal out of fucking sushi

Then the guys just complain about their nigger cab driver and not being able to get reservations, and I can infer that these main guys have no loyalty to their wives, and the wives are unloyal too

Also everytime a character is introduced, their entire attire is described in detail, like its material, brand, colour, etc
