been on this set of meds for a week, they not helpin me mentally tbh but the pleasure from fapping is a nice bonus. I've been round in circles on the citalopram, fluxotine, mirtazipine and setraline, they do nothin for me mentally so they put me on these. I just want relief from my depression more than anything. From my experience, the placebo effect is the only hope they offer but it's a temporary sensation that lasts a few days or so after going cold turkey on them for instance or if you're just starting on them, then that buzz wears off and it's back to depressed reality. I wish I could bottle that temporary placebo effect and use that feeling spontaneously. Depression sucks, anxiety sucks, fuck this clown world.

I'm a medical student so not an expert but I do know very detailed how all these drugs work. But the research is tainted by Big Pharma so it's hard to say what works and what just makes money.

But I'm a big believer in that if an SSRI (serotonin) doesn't work -> Bupropion (dopamine). Out of all the antidepressants, Bupropion is the only one that increases uptake of Dopamine. In a very simplified sense: if increased serotonin doesn't help (SSRI or SNRI or mitrazapine indirectly)-> increase dopamine.

I'm actually surprised your doc even tried a combination SNRI+mirtazapine before just trying bupropion. He must be some old guy not aware of the latest treatment guidelines.

Wellbutrin/bupropion is very used drug in the U.S.A. to counter-act the sexual effects of SSRIs and also used alone for depression. Sadly, where I live it is only used for helping quit smoking, never heard of anyone who got it for depression.

SSRIs make me last longer, the orgasm though is less satisfying usually (and my normal orgasm is very weak also). Still, I can never last even 5 minutes with SSRIs. It is like from 20 seconds normally to close to 1 minute or even 2 minutes at best. Still, I last 2 to 6 times longer, but it is still bad since without SSRI I last 20 seconds.

And I can't sleep properly and memory and IQ drops considerably on SSRIs. Takes 2-3 weeks to recover from even a few days of use.

I use them for premature ejaculation only. They don't cause sexual dysfunction, they treat mine! But not enough! I wish I could last even 5 minutes with SSRIs. But I can't. I get better erections also with SSRI than without!!! Now I have problem getting erections without SSRI. With SSRI, I get erections immediately when I watch something sexual and even from the thought of visiting PornHub before I even see any sexual content! Never tried that, bet it makes you last a long time. I can last hours on these pills, they give you more self control which is liberating, it's just a shame we'll never get to make the most of it in actual sexual experiences. For escortcels antidepressants will be a godsend as you'd get you're money's worth. Without these pills I have to seriously edge hard to maximise ejaculation.
